I left the church in the fall of 2015 and because I have not had much contact with extended family I have not seen a need to inform them of my decision.

Sadly my mother passed in December, we were not close but still she was my mother now I have a half-brother who I do not ever wish to see or come in contact with again that has stalked me on Facebook. I denied his friend request but somehow he was able to respond to a post I made and it was all about how I should have my parents (we had the same mother) sealed and then be sealed to them myself he even put the exact date that he expects this to happen. BTW I blocked him after that.

Any advise on how to deal with this would be appreciated. Just to let you know he is schizophrenic and scares me, the good thing is he lives in Zion and I do not. I did not respond to his post as I did not want to engage him or inflame the situation. He would definitely blow a gasket if he knew about me resigning.

I would definitely just keep him blocked.

Hi. The scary part is not the illness, the scary part is the tbm ness. It is kind of you to shelter him from your decisions that may stress him way too much. I hope it all works out for you. :-)

Me personally, I would do as Rain mentioned, ignore him. He's not in charge of your life, you are.

"Do you believe in AoF # 11?"

Quote:
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

That would be my response. If he wants to seal her to people he can, leave me alone.

Peace

Thanks for all the support and advise, I hope to never have any more interactions with him but if I do I guess AoF #11 is the way to go.

So nice of you to give me the benefit of the doubt but it wasn't so much his stress as mine I was concerned with. I am happy with him living his life as he sees fit I just expect the same consideration. He has been such a destructive element in my life and in others and he definitely cannot see it. I find his fanaticism to be unbearable.
