I am so encouraged by the youth. I have just met unexpectedly in town, a young girl I used to know. Now she and her family have stopped attending. All graduating from University. And so very relaxed. She does not know the big doctrinal debates, just knows it is false and lies and is getting on with her life and being happy, even whilst still immersed a little bit in the culture. She said to me, ''I was really hoping you are not going to church.'' I was so glad to see her and to encourage her too.
There are getting to be so many of us out there.

Very good understanding of the real world my dear friend. Like I told the two sister missionaries last year, when they tried to shame me into returning and said as they departed: "Don't you feel bad that you're the only non member in the neighborhood around here?" My reply: "You've got to be kidding. Do you know how many members are bailing out now? A lot more than you two even realize."

LDS inner-darkness is cast upon all Mormon members who choose to remain a stalwart maintainer of failing flawed falsehoods, after hint after hint after hint that something may be wrong is in every way, shown to them.

About the most that may come out of it all sometimes is another deliciously creative name for an alcohol drink.

I can live with people believing in Mormonism. It seems there are so many different ways of thinking and believing, it is hard for me to imagine that Mormonism ever totally disappears. It may. At the same time, Mormonism seems to me to be of such low worth - spiritually, intellectually, and even socially - that their long-term numbers of members in the future must be very small. I do not gloat, but I admit to feeling a bit ... happy? justified? relieved? ... whenever I hear a story of someone in the Church learning and making the decision to enter a more interesting life with broader experiences - when they quit the church and enter on a fuller, richer life.
