I keep reading that it's about homosexual leaders and money. Shocked?

Oh well.

Peace

Mormonism cannot seem to hold on to the young adults because of ongoing and relentlessly using deception at almost any turn, it's not even trying to go after and capture those young men with a brain anymore!

It sounds reasonable that the decision was based on sexual concerns, given the past statements by the Mormon Church. However, I wonder if that is all there is to it. I remember when I was very young and attended scouts - we did have scout meetings and activities, but it was very closely - very closely - tied in with, included a Sunday-School like class. And dancing afterwards. And began with some kind of service like "opening exercises" at Sunday School. When I last attended a scout meeting, three or four years ago, it was mostly scouting. There was no opening meeting that I recall, and there was no religious class, and there was no dancing afterwards, although sometimes the girls made something to eat, so boys and girls ate together even though they did not dance together. So, maybe one of the reasons for separating from the official BSA, is to go back to a system which includes religious services. Maybe they got the idea from "Awanas"! It will be interesting to see what actually takes the place of the Scout meetings. Will they be Scout-like, Awanas-like, Sunday-School-like, or something original and creative - oh, no, wait, it's the Mormon Church. Their originality died along with Joseph Smith. :(
