Thoughts with you for this your first Thanksgiving without Yukon, not that 'without' is an accurate word.
My love to you.
A little background on "Rubber man."
A sibling of mine and me, when we were in our early teens used to hang out in a small town 70 miles north of where I live now. In this town, there was a man who obviously had mental issues that use to ride around town on his bicycle in the summer heat wearing a full yellow, rubber rain suite.
We called him rubber man. Not to his face.
Fast forward: Last year as I was cleaning out the garage, I ended up throwing away a few yellow rain suites which we used in my now retired business at one time when we were power-washing roofs, etc.
That brought up thoughts of rubber man from days gone by.
Remember the one rubber man post I wrote & since deleted? It spoke of the Yellow Room at a building in Seattle which I go to once a month to pick up my meds. The Yellow Room is across the hall from the pharmacy; it use to be called the Mental Health Lounge. I have never stepped foot in that room. But, last month the door was open and I looked in, to my surprise, the walls are not yellow.
I know a joke is not funny if people do not get the joke; or, in this case, my attempt at humor. The fact that you did see the rubber man posts as humor speaks of your good disposition.
In closing, I am so happy on this Thanksgiving day; & so appreciative of you & everyone else on this board.
If I get any happier I just might just have to put the yellow rubber rain suit back on and ride around town on my bicycle in the summer heat.
