Not to try and be morbid or anything, you might want to install the necessary steps and precautions to eliminate the possibility of a final LDS funeral upon your own personal passing.

Simply contacting your funeral home of choice can help insure the desired results are carried out.

Having your casket involved in a Mormon funeral and burial ceremonies is a lot like a final stain on a life that you couldn't seem to take control of. You might not want to be put in the ground under the banner of a sex cult.

Whew, that was close!

Well, at least you're not Catholic. Apparently from this CNN article it's humorously like the Hotel California, maybe after checking out you can never leave or be deleated. That's been the funny Jewish mantra for centuries, once a Jew always a Jew.

You'll love the article, it might tickle your religious funny bone, and if you haven't found your's maybe this will help.

Luckily I was the only Mormon in my family, so that's one I don't have to worry about.

What! I just now remembered, no touchy washing of your body by strangers?

Getting all garbed up in the temple green and white with the matching bonnet cap to look even more stranger than might be first imagined.

If you now may have equal chances at getting into a Scientology wake and festival, wouldn't that be grand? Joking, only joking!

I was actually raised with no religion at all. I wasn't taught to be non-religious or anything. It just never came up.

I went to school, came home, did homework, hung out with my friends, etc. We just lived our lives and whether or not a god existed just never came up.

When I went searching for answers to the universe and started joining churches, my mother was like, "Where did that come from? You weren't raised like that."

I thought it was a funny thing to say, but that's what she said. LOL

That izz funny, using the phrase "we didn't raise you that way...", but in a completely different form from the jargon Mormonism and LDS families are familiar with.

I know. I thought that might be something a parent would say if their kid robbed a bank or something. But to say it because their kid turned out to be religious struck me as being rather funny.

You make a good point about a possible probiotic distribution among the congregation and unfortunately also increases in possible exposure to communicable illnesses like this one that actually cause burning in the bosom.

Interestingly it's something sometimes made worse with alcohol consumption. Hence, a quick reason Mormons should never drink alcohol, whether LDS or not.

Who you hang around often rubs off in more ways than one!

True. Maybe I never would have been baptized Mormon if my best friend hadn't been baptized 6 months before that.

Many times, Rainfeather, its how us humans learn to do things, off the shoulders so to speak of others, who either preceded us or mentor us along, many times unknowingly. However, Google is a new player on the world's religious landscape that is changing how many people accept or at least acknowledge differing world religions. Unfortunately, third world situations are playing catch up with the information/knowledge flow.

That's not quite unfortunate for LDS Missionaries and not that unfortunate for the Mormon corporate organization (church, small 'C') that seems quite eager to train young men and young women on people with sometimes little access to computers and iPads and iPhones.

It's so sad how low Mormonism is stooping.

They're really no different than any corporation trying to get your money.

There is a lot more than the corporate bottom line that still irks me from time to time. Customer recruiting/retention techniques being foremost a concern for the lean ones still being sucked in.
