So if these apologists teach against LDS Leadership ... are they anti-mormon?

I like that...and so true. In there recent articles on both Race and polygamy there are so many lies and contradictions, its ridiculous. Referencing the topic of race, they actual claim that somehow this doctrine magically appeared. I remember as a Deacon and Teacher being taught in class that African Americans were not as valiant in the pre-existence and because of this were born under the curse of Cain.

I would say Pro Truth, not anti anything since I also remember the same being taught.

"When authority masquerades as a power, a simple question will unmask it."

"Just because you think, feel, or believe something is true, doesn't make it true!"

"The doubt of your faith, is not God testing you, but truth trying to emerge and free you."

Hi 9camsti,

In general, polygamy is a gut shot to women. You may want to take a look at John Dehlin's work on why Mormons leave as it may give ideas about which topics tend to be more difficult for women in general ... of course your wife is a woman individually and you should use your insight into her and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in how to approach her. My wife often says that if 1/2 of the problems we found with the LDS Church are true problems, that's enough to know that it has real problems.

Back to Dehlin, you may want to download and print his survey. You might preface it with things like, "I know this is not scientific but it gives a good flavor as to why I and others have and are leaving the LDS Church." He has seveal videos ... I just saw and watched the one below. It was recorded at a time when Dehlin had left LDS and then come back and it's a member trying to help other members stay in the LDS Church... so one might say that it's slightly closer to her side than the middle. ... he-church/

At about 40 minutes in John starts talking to members and how to address people who have left or are leaving. John then follows that up with several resources for research.

In the end, you both want to be informed and if you come to different conclusions then you do, but that's ok.

I resigned from the Church of THE Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (Feb 2011)

"For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." - Luke 8:17
